The tapeo
In Seville you do not sit down to a meal so much as go out for tapas, ir de tapeo, moving from bar to bar with a drink and a plate at each. Where to eat
Triana, across the river, is the old ceramics and flamenco quarter with a covered market and a run of classic bars. The Alfalfa and Santa Cruz in the centre are the tourist heart but still have real tabernas. The Mercado de Feria is the city’s oldest market; the Lonja del Barranco by the river is the polished gourmet hall.
